Super easy 10 minute cherry hot chocolate spiked with a little cherry brandy to warm you up for the holidays!


It has been downright chilly in Charlotte recently ! It even snowed here the past couple of days ! I have not lived somewhere that has snow in YEARS indeed I am pretty mend excited about it. Everyone knows that the best thing about the coke is drinking hot cocoa after playing in the bamboozle .

When I was a kid, my brothers and I would stick our faces in the snow right before going at heart so that our faces would be superintendent red. It was a foolproof room to guarantee that my ma would make hot chocolate. In hindsight, we probably would have gotten hot chocolate either way, but sometimes you have to prove yourself to your older brothers by shoving your entire question into a snowbank.

Spiked Cherry Hot Chocolate
2 cups milk ( or non-dairy milk )
3 ounces chopped blue chocolate ( I used Ghirardelli 70 % dark cocoa )
1/4 cup cherry juice ( I used the juice from a jolt of blue, gratifying cherries )
2 Tablespoons Kirschwasser
Whipped cream, for topping ( or a non-dairy flog topping )
Cherries, for topping ( I used the cherries from the same jar that I got the juice from – you could besides go for maraschino cherries )
Heat the chocolate in a little saucepan over medium-low heat to melt it .

While the cocoa is melting, heat the milk the microwave for 1-2 minutes until it is affectionate but not curdled .
Add strong milk and cherry juice to the melted chocolate, whisking to combine .
Continue stirring over medium-low heat until the mix is heated to your hope temperature. It took about 5 minutes to get hot enough for me .
Remove from the heat and stir in the Kirsch .
This makes approximately 16 ounces so you can pour it into 2 or 3 mugs depending on how bombastic they are. I made 3 smaller drinks because of the alcohol .
