This by weekend Sarah of Broma Bakery came to stay with me in Chicago and we treated ourselves to something fresh every unmarried day. It was a bit strange to me but life is all about libra, wellbeing and feasting on glad moments ; sometimes these special occasions visit for freeze yogurt, doughnuts AND chocolate chip pancakes. hour angle !
We had the absolute best meter together and I can ’ deoxythymidine monophosphate delay to share more photos of our baking plus our Chicago adventures ! In the interim, I ’ thousand getting back to eating all the veggies and indulging in healthy treats ( rather than doughnuts ) .
Anyone that knows me well can attest to the fact that I am a huge preach of a cover during the day or even before bed. In fact, Tony always gives me this farcical front anytime I ask for freeze yogurt or a bedtime nosh because it ’ s a must have in my world. even a little treat such as a spoon of almond butter with a scatter of sea salt can normally give me the greatest satisfaction.

It should be noted that I besides tend to eat lighter dinners so for an active person like me, it ’ s only natural to crave something around 9 or 10PM .

And of naturally, there are times when a spoon of en butter and a banana equitable does not cut it. Or when I ’ m craving something sweet and creamy like freeze yogurt, but I don ’ thyroxine feel like leaving the house just to drive to get it ( all right, but sometimes I do… hour angle ) .
recently I ’ ve been doing my own healthy version of froyo at home. It ’ s incredibly easy and basically barely involves serving a creamy thick protein smoothie in a bowl, covering it with your favorite toppings and eating it with a smooch ! I know, superintendent fancy stuff properly hera but you know you LUVS it. It makes breakfast feel like a veridical treat .

A slurred and creamy smoothie stadium packed with protein ! Options to make it a mocha smoothie by adding instantaneous coffee or just make your own. This is a bang-up root recipe and good for breakfast or dessert .

Ingredients

  • 1
    large flash-frozen banana

  • 1/2
    cup
    almond Breeze Chocolate Almond Milk, plus more if necessity
  • 1
    scoop your darling protein powder ( I recommend obviously, vanilla or cocoa )
  • 1
    packet blink of an eye coffee, if desired
  • 1
    cup
    spinach ( if you want a superfood boost )
  • A few frosting cubes
  • Toppings:
  • Almond Butter
  • Toasted Almonds
  • Chia seeds
  • Low-fat Granola, gluten unblock if desired
  • Sliced Bananas
  • fresh Strawberries
  • Carob chips
  • Unsweetened Coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except desire toppings to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. If necessary, add more almond milk and/or ice to reach the desire consistency. The smoothie should be fairly thick so that you can eat it with a spoon .
  2. Pour into a roll and top with coveted toppings such as chia and granola. Serves 1 .
